Holiday Gifting Ideas from ModCloth

When it comes to Christmas, my mother-in-law's motto is go big or go home.

She hosts all the relatives on Christmas Eve and immediate family on Christmas Day, cooks a spread of delicious food, and puts Santa to shame with her gift giving skills.

I'm not the easiest person to shop for, so The Legend (a well-deserved nickname that was recently bestowed upon her) always asks me to create a wish list so she knows what I'd like to unwrap on Christmas Day.

Here's what I'm wishing for this month.

1. Vintage Flowers Temporary Tattoos from Etsy shop Pepper Ink, $20
You already know I'm currently obsessed with temporary tattoos, and these watercolor-y ones are just so pretty.

2. Sueded Pointed-Toe Flats from Old Navy, $20
I have these in teal, and they're super comfy. Plus, I'm really liking the color fuchia for fall.

3. Floral Print Satin Dress from Forever 21, $24.80
Can't go wrong with a floral print, amiright?

4. Silla Yellow Flats from B.A.I.T Footwear, $38
I've been eyeing these for a while now. I don't have any shoes from B.A.I.T. Totally seems like I should. ;)

5. Branches of Silver Leaves Headband from Icing, $10.50
Is there anything that says fall more than leaves?

6. Prancing in the Reindeer Dress from ModCloth, $89.99
This dress reminds me of my iPad case, which is basically the cutest. I love the colors and the deer.

Vintage-inspired styling with a bird and butterfly print. You had me at vintage-inspired.

2. Wool Felt Floppy Hat from Icing, $26
This screams fall to me, and the feathers are a pretty touch.

3. Trapunto Saddle Crossbody in Navy from Charming Charlie, $25
I have several crossbody bags, but none of them are navy. Seems like it's time to remedy the situation.

For some reason unbeknownst to me, I'm really into my zodiac sign lately. Maybe the reason is in the stars?

I know I live in Florida where we basically have year-round summer, but for the few chilly days, this sweatshirt looks so super soft and cozy. And bonus: I can wear it with leggings. #comfy

Love the geometric qualities and colors in this necklace from the Finnish design company.

2. Daisy Printed Doll Dress from Simply Be, $79.95
Can't help my desire to relive the my teenage years in this awesome '90s-inspired print.

3. Pining for Summer Sandal from ModCloth, $164.99
Little baby pinecones on a sandal? GIMME! The only thing stopping me from clicking "Check Out" is the price.

4. Women's Crochet Riley Crossbody from Payless ShoeSource, $19.99
The white, lacy effect is calling my name.

Floral cutouts on a mint-colored flat. Need I say more?

The little details on this dress are adorable. If you look really closely, you can even see multi-colored specks scattered all over it.

1. Cutest of the Fruit Dress from ModCloth, $52.99
I love fruit prints for summer, and this one has all my favorites. It also may or may not already be on its way to me. ;)

2. Red Strawberry Dangle Earrings from SheInside, $6.52
The only fave fruit the first dress is missing? Strawberries! These earrings would totally complete the look.

3. Candy Color Messenger Bag in Khaki from Oasap, $29.99 (on sale)
Name one thing this bag wouldn't go with. You can't? Exactly!

4. Women's Tucker 2-Piece Flat Sling from Payless ShoeSource, $24.99 (on sale)
I've been seeing these types of sandals in lots of stores, and I stop to look at them each time. I have a feeling I won't be able to resist the magnetic affect they seem to have on me much longer.

5. Boucle Sailor Collar Dress in Salmon from Lily Boutique, $19 (on sale)
Can you believe I have zero pink dresses? Maybe now's the time to remedy that, especially since this one has a sailor collar!

Here are all the cute things I'm wishing for this month.

1. Peter Pan Collar Top in Thyme from Boden, $78

I absolutely love the telephones on this top, as well as the hint of mint in the print. Rhyming! ;) Plus, can you ever really go wrong with a peter pan collar? I think not.

2. Platinum Plate Dinosaur Necklace from The Alchemy Shop, $27.99

You had me at "dinosaur." The second-grader in me is running around the playground screaming with excitement!

3. Just As Imagined Necklace in Mushroom from ModCloth, $22.99
Don't know why, but I really like things with mushrooms printed on them. And that isn't some weird drug reference.

4. Vintage Cutout Shoulder Bag in Mint Green from Oasap, $38.94 (on sale)
I don't like the taste of mint, but I sure do love the color. And the cutouts and closure? Sound the alarm--we're reaching high levels of cuteness!

5. You're in Luck Dress from ModCloth, $89.99
I've been eyeing this dress with ladybugs and four-leaf clovers printed on it for months. It would be great to wear on St. Patty's Day. If only it would go on sale!

6. Yvette Cream Flats from B.A.I.T. Footwear, $58
B.A.I.T. has come out with 60s-inspired lace-up jogger flats, and I don't think they could be any cuter. All of the floral prints are adorable, but I'm really digging this white pair.

So Much Cuteness in the Simply Be Spring 2014 Catalog

I spent most of yesterday morning working on affiliate program membership for my blog, and heading into lunchtime, I was ready to spend the afternoon catching up on all the other non-blog related things that have been piling up on my desk.

Well, that planned productivity went out the window when I checked the mailbox. Inside, I found the Simply Be Spring 2014 catalog, and I dedicated most of the afternoon to swooning over all the new styles in the British retailer's latest collection.

I seemed to find something I loved on nearly every page, and now my catalog is full of dogears marking all of my favorite items.
