Possible Valentine's Day Outfit: Red Rose Cardi and Black

I really miss Fred Flare.

The online store was a haven where all things cute, fun and quirky were sold to people like me to give as gifts to friends and family. In November, the shop closed after 15 years because it was no longer profitable.

The Fred Flare blog has continued, but even that looks like it's about to be shut down. In a short message Sunday, Fred Flare founders said the post would be their last. What a sad day indeed.

In addition to novelty gifts, Fred Flare offered cute clothing and accessories. It's where I found this rose cardigan and the black-and-white purse.

I put them together in an outfit that just might be perfect for Valentine's Day. Compare it to my other V-Day options and tell me what you think!

    1. I love cardigans, too. I'm glad it's been cool enough out to wear them lately.

  2. What, no actual cookie around your neck? ;) Kidding!
I actually like the mint and polka dot combo, but this outfit is a close second. They both look cute, and comfy, too.

  3. You look so pretty!! I loveee that necklace. I saw it on Modcloth awhile ago, and it caught my eye. My mom is fluent in German and always says "Ich liebe dich" to my sister and I, and she's very obsessed with all things German, ha.

    1. Aw, thanks! :) My grandmother was from Germany and I had the opportunity to study there in college and also meet some of my relatives. It was an amazing time--one of the most exciting of my life. This necklace reminds me of that, so it's pretty special to me. <3

    1. I heard somewhere once that coordinating your bag with your shoes is too "matchy-matchy," but I love doing it when I can. If two things are just so similar, how could I not wear them together?! ;)
