The Quest for the Perfect Short-Sleeve Maxi Dress

I had only one fashion goal this summer.

Find a maxi dress with short sleeves.

It might sound simple, but it's no easy feat. Think about the maxis you've seen on your shopping adventures. Most of them are sleeveless, aren't they?

Before I discovered eShakti (more on that in a future post), I was beginning to give up hope. Then one day, while I was perusing dresses on ModCloth, this little number caught my eye. The "Zest Case Scenario Dress" (I will forever love the names they come up with for all of their items) had a pretty print and CAP SLEEVES (all caps because CAPS).

Anyway, cap sleeves were a little shorter than what I wanted, but they were sleeves nonetheless. There was only one of these dresses left and it happened to be my size, so I snapped it up.

The dress has an open back, which doesn't work for me because I need supportive undergarments. But that's easily remedied with my own coordinating cami.

Maxi dress success! Goal reached.

This is the face you make when you're taking photos of yourself and the timer runs out before you're ready. ;)

Cleo is the cutest, and I love her! In case you didn't already know.

Oh! I'm making my own jewelry now. I make some pieces from fabric and the others from original artwork created by my husband. The ring on the right is the latter. Check all of it out in my Esty shop, Reamster and Stret, and find us on Facebook and Instagram.
